    Artwork Opening

    Here is a picture of Regine Bechtler and Rick Lazes next to a piece they collaborated on called “Search for the Impossible”.  The picture was taken during the opening of “The World is Bending” show at the New Gallery of Modern Art.  The 81″ x 48″ x 96″ wood form is made of Walnut and Regine’s ceramic clay sculpture measures 22″ x 12″ x 12″.  The opening was Friday, May 17th, 2013.  The show will be up from May 13th to June 15th.

    Video and Image Gallery for 2013 The Passport for Fashion Show

    Regine Bechtler’s wearable art fashion collection was exhibited at the Passport For Fashion show held on Saturday, April 20th 2013.  The event was held at the NC Music Factory in uptown Charlotte.  Charlotte Seen hosted this event to raise money for Kids Rein.  The show was a big success!  Check out the video and a gallery of photographs of Regine’s collection below.

    The Charlotte Observer’s Style page dated Thursday, April 11, 2013 features an article about Irina Tashkova, director of the New Gallery of Modern Art.  When asked by the Observer’s fashion reporter do you buy wearable art? Irina replied by saying “I am a big fan of Regine Bechtler’s jackets.  Also, the New Gallery of Modern Art  will be showing off one of Regine’s sculptures at their May opening.  ‘The World Is Bending,’ an exhibition featuring new works by local artist Rick Lazes  on Friday, May 17th, 5-8PM.

    The new spring Peace Jackets collection can be admired and purchased off of the runway at the Passport for Fashion Show on April 20th, 2013 at the NC Music Factory in uptown Charlotte.  Charlotte Seen hosts this event to raise money for Kids Rein. This unique event brings together elegant fashion couture, eco friendly design and ready to wear fashion designers, trend-setting hair and makeup styling and remarkable PRODUCT RUNWAY designs from local artists. Twenty-two acts in the show, and 200 models will walk the runway.  You can expect with your admission to the event over 15 vendors representing their designs, restaurants showcasing their cuisine and eight bars.   Doors open at 6:30pm.  You can purchase tickets and find more information about upcoming events at passportforfashion.com
